Everyone loves DASHER and why not when the little guy is less than $9.00 and one of Stampin' Up!'s top selling stamps! You get this one stamp which is simply gorgeous when stamped on your holiday cards.
DELIGHTFUL DECORATIONS is a really sweet and easy to use holiday stamp set! This is a simple card with clean lines and relaxing colors.
One of my favorite events in our meetup group is a monthly shoebox swap. Everyone that attends brings a card or project and we all make each other's projects. It's an amazing experience because it gives me an opportunity to learn new techniques and tricks. This vintage card was designed by my dear friend, Eileen Bellomo, and this is my version. I love the vintage look as long as it's not too frilly. This is the perfect balance of vintage, edgy and HO HO HO!

Welcome to Marty's Sketch #4! This sketch involves simple, graphic lines which allows for you to create simple cards which focus on a central image. I am really hoping that you will take a moment to create your own cards based on Marty's sketch. Take a moment to link your blog or online post to my blog. The Gotham City Stampers Design Team would LOVE to see your interpretation of the sketch. Also, please forward this blog post to your crafty friends and family.
Here is Marty's sketch that inspired the Design Team--

Tonight, I held our wonderful TECHNIQUE WEDNESDAY CLASS at THE MECCA. At this monthly class, I feature techniques that are a bit outside the box. It gives us a chance to push our creative boundaries and really focus on creating art. One of the techniques from tonight was Faux Glassine Paper which I found on Splitcoast Stampers. We used DREAM GARDEN which is a fabulous stamp set! I loved hanging out with some of my favorite pals and team members, Eileen, Laurel, Rosie, and JennyB. We also had the honor of meeting a new crafty friend, Deb! What an amazing night! Laurel even topped it off with ice cream cake--delicious!

I had an amazing crafty day today! I spent a bit of time with my friend, Gayle, and TONS of time with my crafting sister, Corris! We spent all day gabbing, eating Marty's amazing food and crafting! I have this box of projects that I refer to as the box of Misfit Toys (from Rudolph). It's all the projects that I never seem to get to or start and never finish. Today, I cleared out the box! For those of you that know me, I know you are gasping! Many of the projects were unfinished jewelry items. This is a piece I started as part of a class with Eileen a million years ago. Today, I added the finishing touches and it will soon find its way into my jewelry amoire!
I used Stampin' Up! Hodgepodge Hardware in Vanilla to make the frame of the piece! I hope that you love it and will take a moment to leave a comment!
I am so excited to introduce MARTY'S SUNDAY SKETCH. Every Sunday, Marty will share a card sketch with the crafting world.
Who is Marty?
Marty is my fiancee and an very active part of the Gotham City Stampers. He welcomes all of the stampers into THE MECCA, gives us drinks, makes us food, chases the UPS guy when he has Stampin' Up! orders and knows what all of the products do. He even know when Convention is and how to promote in the the company. Some of the Gotham City Stampers would say that he is truly a demonstrator. We thought it would be a ton of fun to start a new weekly card sketch that MARTY creates.
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
I have a team of 7 Gotham City Stampers on the DESIGN TEAM-5 gals in my first level downline, one in my second level and then, ME! We will be sharing our creations with you using Marty's sketch.
You can create your own cards using Marty's sketch and then upload it to your blog or online gallery. You can link your projects using Mister Linky (at the bottom of this post). Please pass this new weekly sketch challenge on to your friends and family!
This is the master sketch artist, Marty with myself (Heidi) and our two pomeranians, Bo and Hunter at the Gotham City Stampers Demonstrator Team Graveyard Gala.
This is the very first Marty Sketch. He said he wanted to "keep this one simple" to see what people could come up with!
Wait until you see what the Design Team has in store for you!
Let me introduce you to the Gotham City Stampers DESIGN TEAM:
**********************************************************************************This is me (Heidi)-Team Leader of the Gotham City Stampers in New York City.
Here is my card using Marty's Sketch:

This is Pat, a creative and wonderful member of my first level downline. (Don't you love her gorgeous tiara?)
Pat made a beautiful holiday card.

Eileen is also a member of my first level downline and is extremely talented. You can see more of her work on her blog Art Saves Lives.

Heather is a member of my first level downline and is really moving up in the Stampin' Up! world. She recently started a blog where you can enjoy more of her art. Check it out at Rubber, Paper, Ink.
Heather loves Halloween and made this creepy, very 3D card.

JennyB (as she is known on our team) is an important member of my first level downline. She is really excited about the world of Stampin' Up! and started sharing her creations on her new blog, Heart to Art Creations.
JennyB loves making Fall and Thanksgiving cards. Here is another one of her amazing creations:

This is Jen, or Bon Jovi Jen, as she is known to our team. Our own rocker loves making cards and jumped at the chance to be on the Design Team. You can see her works of art at Rock Star Crafts.
LOVE that punch art creation by Jen! Did you see how she turned the card the other way and put a lil' twist on Marty's sketch?
***************************************************************
This is Tammy, a member of my second level downline. I am so thrilled that you joined our Design Team. You will love her cards and projects--see more of them on her blog Tammy's In Craft Heaven.

This is another quick card that we made at my Holiday Stamp-a-Stack. If you live in the New York City area and would love to come to my classes, click here! This card is using the SASSY SPARKLES Stampin' Wheel from the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG. We also used the MERRY EMBOSSLITS for the amazing BIG SHOT to cut that embossed tag for the card. I love taking a a sanding block and rubbing it lightly over the word MERRY. That distresses just the word a little bit which makes it stand out on the tag. Simple and really cute!

I am so excited about the upcoming announcement that will launch on SUNDAY here on my blog. You won't want to miss it--bookmark my blog so you don't miss the news! Labels: Card sketches, Design Team, Founder's Circle, Gotham City Stampers, Heidi Davenport, Marty Bound, New York City, Stampin' Up
I love DASHER for so many reasons. He has nice, clean, simple lines and the lil' guy is only $8.95! This is another card that I used at my holiday stamp-a-stack. It was a huge hit as it only took a few minutes and really made a beautiful impact. Do you love DASHER as much as I do? You can order this happy guy on my ONLINE BOUTIQUE.

I LOVE this new hostess set from the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG! You can earn this stamp set by placing a $150 (or more) order! I saw a card similar to this one on www.splitcoaststampers.com and thought it was so simple and elegant. I tweaked it and used it as one of my four cards for my recent Stamp-a-Stack Class! Do you love to shop online? Check out this amazing site!
Each month, I gather with some of my amazing creative friends for our Papercrafts group! Each month we all come with one project and the supplies to make it. At the end of our few hours together, we each have created one of each project. It is one of my favorite events of the month! My dear friend, Pat, created this super cute and OH so SPOOKY gift bag! This is my version of it! I hope you enjoy checking out my pictures and get inspired to make a gift bag of your own! I have a co-worker that has a birthday next weekend--I can't WAIT to put her gift in this bag!

When I get a new stamp set, I love to look on www.splitcoaststampers.com for new ideas on how to use it. I love using different projects as inspiration for my own. Stampin' Up! encourages stampers to CASE (create and share everything) cards but I admit, I don't do it often. BUT, when I found this card on Splitcoast, I HAD to make it! I changed it just a bit but the general design is still the same. I believe that it is really important to give creative credit to people--this card was made by Barbara Jackson and can be seen on Splitcoast Stampers.
