Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I always enjoyed the fun of today. BUT, never quite experienced it to it's fullest until I taught 1st graders this year. Their energy about dressing up and getting candy is infectious...oh, yes, exhausting! I hope that your day is as amazing as theirs!

Here are two projects for today. Enjoy! Both made by ME! :)
This autumn card uses a cool technique called SnakeSkin! I am so pleased with it!

This card was SO much fun! It was inspired by a card in the October issue of PaperCrafts! LOVE it!

The new ME!

Today isn't a crafting post exactly. BUT, one inspired by my crafty pals. Thanks to them and the wonderful hair artisits at Aveda in SOHO, I have a NEW look! I promised my friends that I would post pictures so here they are!

2 more to make up for yesterday...

As a result of WAY too much relaxing last night, I didn't post my promised two projects. Ok, have to admit...after cooking a nice meal with Mart, we spend WAY to much time on the couch rooting for the Phillies!

This gorgeous card was made by one of the newest demonstrators on the Gotham City Stampers Team, Heather! She did this really cool Crystal Effects technique in the circle of this card. Beautiful!

My friend, Laurel...that gorgeous Urban Garder Paper and a bird in one card. Oh, be still my heart! Love those page pebbles!

Melissa is so talented and always amazes me with her creations. I love the simplicity of this card. Melissa always creates with such clean lines and such a WOW factor!

Gayle did a very creative job on this card. I love the use of the chipboard (covered in Crystal Effects) to make the effect of the flower.

Featuring Eileen and Pat...beautiful works of art!

As promised, I am adding another two beautiful projects. These are both made by my friends. Eileen and Pat are not only amazing people but crafting divas! Both of these are part of my Gotham Team Swap.

Eileen made this stunning necklace. She made one for each swap participant. It is a punched out circle image which is adhered to a NICKEL! (can you believe it?) She then covered it with Crystal Effects. http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=101055 Crystal Effects acts as a lacquer and protects this gorgeous work of art. I picked out an outfit today just so I could wear this necklace. Love it!

Pat made this gorgeous flower out of paper. She amazes me with everything she touches and creates. She used Crystal Effects to adhere the flower to the leaves. Eileen said it would make a great pin. I think I would have to agree with her. Hmm...maybe use one of the straight pins from the Stampin' Up! Pretties Kit http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=109114 to hold it on my shirt. Sort of like a paper corsage!

2 crafty creations a day...

I want to share with you 2 crafty creations everyday on my blog! Some will be made by me, others by my crafty friends!
Every month my Stampin' Up! Downline and I particpate in a swap. Last night, we swapped items that contained some neat way of using Crystal Effects.
This vintage pin was made by my pal, Evelyn! She recycled some pins from work and used them as the base of her creation. So beautiful!

This adorable cupcake pin was made by my crafty pal, Corris! She layered many cupcakes on top of each other to give the Cupcake Campaign pin a delicious look!

My New Yahoo Group

My friend, Eileen, is always raving about all of the amazing yahoo groups that she belongs to. She talks about the cool swaps and connections that she has made all over the world! After hearing her, I thought to myself...I should start a group. So, tonight...I did just that! I hope you will take a moment and join the group. I am hoping to start swaps, etc. and build an exciting group.

Sticky & Sweet

Since I was a little girl, Madonna intrigued me as a musician, lyricist, and icon. Her messages to society as well as her "interesting" fashion sense has been with me since I was in elementary/middle school. Seeing her live never seemed possible. Experiencing her in concert seemed like something that everyone else got to do. I thought my experiences with her would never span past the media and appearances on MTV.
Marty seems to make every one of my dreams come true. He is like a prince that I always dreamed of. For an early birthday present, he bought tickets for me to see Madonna. AND...I am seeing her in the coolest, most exciting place...Madison Square Garden in New York City.
In less than 48 hours, another one of my little girl dreams will come true. Thank you to my sweet Marty. I can't wait to experience this with you! I love you!

Halloween Creations

I had so much fun today creating these projects for my meetup event on Friday night. Now, if you can make it, you can also get the supplies mailed to you! http://rubberstamp.meetup.com/264/calendar/8869470/
This card was so much fun and very simple to make. I used glossy cardstock and a Spectrum pad which I brayered on. Then, stamped in Versamark and embossed with a glittery black embossing powder.
I really loved using Stampin' Up!'s new Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper for this card.

My friend Laurel and I said this one looked like "Wicked Witch meets Sarah Jessica Parker". How much fun would it be to put a baggie of candy corn in this super cute shoe?

Thank you, Eileen for sharing this template with me. This coffin opens and can be filled with yummy candy...or money?!

I adore Frank! He has a little box inside so you can fill him with Halloween surprises!
