A Sweet Baby Gift

My wonderful school principal, Alexei Nichols, and her hubby, Raun Ruffin, are expecting a baby boy in the next several weeks. I had a great time making them this very special gift. I used Stampin' Up! craft ink and images to stamp baby onesies. YES, they are permanent and can be washed! This is the box that I stamped to put the gift into. It was a cake box from something that Marty bought a few weeks ago. I thought it was a perfect box to hold onto and someday recycle. I took the box apart and used a Stampin' Up! wheel for a quick and cute package.

I LOVE the cute animals in this set. I stamped all over the onesie with monkeys, cheetahs and zebras. What lil' boy wouldn't love this?

This baby will be a super star in this cute onesie. My friend, Melissa Martinez, LOVES stars. I thought of her as I was doing this. What a quick and adorable way to decorate this.

When Alexei had her first ultrasound, the baby was doing silly things with his hands. From that point on, he was known as Baby Knuckles. Mart and thought it would be fun to make this KNUCKLES onesie as a silly reminder of that special moment.

I rolled each onesie and tied them with ribbon. Some simple turquoise tissue paper...

a handmade card and some ribbon...VOILA...perfect!

I was surprised and delighted today to have my name and meetup group http://www.meetup.com/NYCStampersScrappers/ mentioned in the wonderful online publication, Stamper's Quest Magazine. My sweet and very talented friend, Michael Trent, came to an event when I taught the stampers how to easily stamp on candles. We had SO much fun. Check out Michael's amazing creations. http://stampersquest.com/2008/11/24/stamp-a-candle-give-the-gift-of-light/#comment-296

WOW! Life has been so busy. I have been spending tons of time with Marty and friends. New York City is certainly an amazing place to live with endless possibilities of things to do. Phew! I wanted to share some recent creations with you...enjoy!

I made this card as part of a Crazy for Cupcakes class that I taught. All of the cards had a cupcake theme. http://www.meetup.com/NYCStampersScrappers/ I teach several stamping and scrapbooking classes a week in New York City! Come and check us out. This is the set that we used and drooled over... http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=111618

My sweet friend, Laurel, made this card for me when I was sick. She is too sweet. This is a great set Puns From the Past http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=111676

Evelyn made this card as one of our projects from our Weekend Getaway during October. Our Stampin' Up! team (9 of us) went to Phonecia, NY for a weekend of learning and fun! Want to join our team? http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/gothamcitystampers/

This card was made at an Under the Stars class. We made several cards using this set http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=111556 and each stamper got to take home their own set! It was SO much fun and way too cute!

Another card made with this lil' guy. I saw a version of this card on www.splitcoaststampers.com but I am not sure who made it. If it was you, please let me know if your comment! I love it and would love to hear from you!
